The Capricorn District Municipality, on 19 November 2025, took its Fire and Disaster Awareness Campaign to Mankweng, donating fire extinguishers, fire blankets and indigenous trees to local institutions.The giveaways follow a fire-season radio competition, where winners nominate the schools to benefit.
The team also took time to give young learners a basic crèche-level lesson on fire and disaster safety.
The recipients were Mokgethwa Medium Pre-School (Ngaleng), Ramashobohla High School (Makeketleng), Mankuke Day Care Centre (Ga-Moropo) and Bananeng Pre-School (Mankweng).
