On 03 March 2026, to strengthen environmental governance and promote sustainable development, Capricorn District Municipality hosted an Environmental Management Capacity Building Workshop at Machaba Community Hall in Blouberg.Officials, environmental practitioners, and community leaders discussed environmental legislation, waste management, climate resilience, and land use, with presentations from LDARD, DMRE, and CoGHSTA.
The workshop reinforces the Municipality’s commitment to environmental sustainability and compliance with national and provincial frameworks.
