Capricorn District Municipality concluded the IDP Consultation process with Businesses and Academic Institutions on 20 April 2023. The IDP consultation process was led by the Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo. The consultation process commenced on 18 April 2023 with NGOs/CBOs, youth structures, women and People living with Disabilities, Provincial government departments and State-owned entities, followed by Traditional Leaders on 19 April 2023 before its conclusion.The business community were able to make inputs and comments which the Executive Mayor appreciated especially those that will enable the district to progress regardless of the financial limitations presented in the Draft 2023/2024 IDP/Budget. Consultations with all stakeholders were progressive with positive inputs and a call for more stakeholder collaborations given the limited resource challenges faced by the district.
People are still allowed to make inputs on the Draft IDP/Budget until 05 May 2023. All inputs should be forwarded to the Capricorn District Municipality offices. The IDP document is accessible on www.cdm.org.za.
