On 08 May 2025, Capricorn District Municipality held an Induction of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee at CDM Council Chamber in Polokwane. The meeting was held in terms of Section 19 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85 of 1993.The meeting also elected Mahlako Thobejane, Isaac Mothapo and Joey Mamaregane as Deputy Chairperson, Secretary and Deputy Secretary respectively. The team will lead and oversee the effective functioning of the committee.
The election conducted ensured a fair representation of officials from various departments who have experience and demonstrated interest in workplace health and safety.
