Capricorn District Municipality (CDM) successfully hosted a development workshop on the formulation of Multisectoral District Implementation Plans (MDIP) at the CDM Council Chamber on 14 May 2025.The workshop convened councilors, government officials, civil society stakeholders, and community representatives to collaborate on integrated strategies aimed at driving sustainable development across all sectors within the district. The Limpopo Province AIDS Council also participated, lending support to the district’s efforts in developing an MDIP aligned with the provincial and national strategic plans for HIV, TB, and STIs under the five-year project framework.
Reflecting on the workshop, Limpopo Provincial AIDS Council Secretary Constance Raphahlelo stated, “The plan will be assessed to ensure that it includes all key elements outlined in the provincial implementation plan.” She emphasized the importance of execution, adding, “We are encouraging the district, as its council secretariat, to adopt and implement the plan. This will empower people in both the district and the province to live longer, healthier lives.” The draft MDIP is now undergoing final refinements and will be presented for formal adoption in the near future.
