The CDM Chief Whip of Council Cllr Lesiba Matsimela and Council Speaker Cllr Kholofelo Lehong participated at the Makoro village marathon. Amongst them was the MEC for agriculture, Hon Nakedi Sibanda, Blouberg Mayor Cllr Maria Thamaga, the Lepelle-Nkumpi Mayor Cllr Merriam Molala and other councillors.It was an incredibly exciting event that left participants and spectators alike in awe. From the moment the starting gun sounded, the energy was palpable as runners of all ages and abilities took to the streets.
The scenic route from ZCC showcased the beauty of the village, with rolling hills of Wolkberg and lush greenery towards Molepo Dam providing a picturesque backdrop for the runners. Capricorn District Municipality was represented. The marathon took place on 22 March 2025 at Ga-Molepo Ga-Rampheri Village.
