16 December 2022, set against the historic backdrop of Bahlaloga, Moletsi Day unfolded with rhythm, colour and just enough dust to remind everyone that this was a true cultural celebration. Moletsi Day celebration took place at Moletsi Moshate under Polokwane Municipality.Traditional music filled the air as elders nodded in approval, the youth danced with infectious energy, and the warm atmosphere turned strangers into long-lost relatives.
Kgoshi Kgabo III Moloto led the day’s activities, joining the community in celebrating Moletsi’s rich heritage. The people of Moletsi are widely known across cultures as “people who eat Letlametlo,” a cherished local delicacy that symbolises identity and pride.
The words of CDM Executive Mayor, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, underscored a shared commitment to unity and collective progress amongst the people of Moletsi.
