CDM CONVENE LAST 2025 MAGOSHI FORUM.

On 19 December 2025, Capricorn District Municipality held the last Magoshi Forum for the year 2025 at Landmark Lodge outside Polokwane. In her purpose and basic services overview presentation to traditional leaders, the Executive Mayor highlighted several key service-delivery challenges. She raised a concern over the damage to municipal infrastructure and the improper dumping of waste, including disposable nappies being discarded anywhere and everywhere. She called on Magoshi to work closely with the municipality in addressing these issues.
The Executive Mayor also urged Magoshi to play an active role in tackling gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF) within their communities, calling on traditional leaders to openly condemn such behaviour and speak out against it for what it is.
The Executive Mayor Cllr. Mamedupi Teffo, expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the valuable contributions made by Magoshi, through the forum and, on behalf of the municipality, presented each traditional leader with a Christmas gift as a festive token of gratitude for their leadership, cooperation and continued partnership. The gesture added a touch of Christmas cheer to the proceedings, as the year draws to a close.
End.
