Limpopo Champion Men Mentor speak to students at TVET College

“We want to change lives and build responsible man. It starts here, if we are able to change one man we can change many lives” , said Khomotso Komape, Limpopo Champion Men Mentor on 24 February 2021 at Capricorn FET College Seshego Campus.
Komape was speaking to young men at Capricorn TVET College, Seshego Campus during the District Gender Based Violence and HAST Awareness Campaign organized by CDM in partnership with non-profit organizations ANOVA Health Institute, Centre for Positive Care (CPC), Youth Action Health, LoveLife, Father A Nation (FAN) and Higher Health.
The campaigns were part of raising awareness on GBV amongst young men as champions of change. The Deputy Chairperson of Capricorn Men’s Forum and Limpopo Champion Men member, Rathabeng Mamabolo gave talks to small groups of young men guiding and advising them on various aspects of GBV and HIV/Aids.
“I feel that this campaign is good because we got to lesrn about things that we dont know about, things that are important in our lives as youth, i like the GBV part coz a lot of women are dying, this teaches us to walk away when we dont feel safe.” These were the words of Ntswaki Ratsaka who is a student at the college and is doing an N6 in Management Assistant.
The campaign took place also at Polokwane Campus on 23 and Senwabarwana on 25 February 2021. The last leg of the campaign will be at Ramokgopha Campus on 01 March 2021.
