Capricorn District MunicipalityΒ was giving training to teachers on 06 February 2020 at Botlokwa regarding the Cleanest School Competition. The workshop targeted approximately teachers from thirty schools which will be taking part in the municipalityβs Cleanest School Competition.
The teachers were from theΒ Sekgosese Central and Sekgosese West Circuits under the Molemole Municipality.Β The competition focuses on various aspects such as waste management, water, greening, toilets, environmental projects, etc.Β The inspection to these schools will be conducted between 17 to 21 February 2020. The panel will validate the results from 24 to 28 February 2020, and prize giving will be in March 2020.
The involvement of all schools from this local municipalty in the competition will bring about change in the environmental status of schools, and will give a platform for information sharing and benchmarking with other schools which are strivingΒ for excellence through hard work and dedication in caring for the environment.
The competion will involve both primary and secondary schools and thereβll be a winner in each category. The lowest performing school in both categories will be supported by CDM.
