“We would like to thank Capricorn District Municipality and indicate that we are grateful the municipality is fulfilling its commitment to continuously support the school after the 2024 District Cleanest School Competition (DCSC)”, said Principal John Lebogo of Ngwanamphahlele Primary School at Lepotlako, Ga-Maraba during the DCSC support program on hygiene awareness and Artwork Competition.
The educational hygiene program supported by Pick n Pay, targeted two schools that were winners of the 2023/2024 Cleanest School competition and took place today at each school. Pick n Pay is committed to, continuously and randomly supporting schools with programs aimed at creating a healthy environment for conductive learning.
The schools, Ngwanamphahlele and Mangakane Primary School (Ga-Chuene) are among the 50 schools that will participate in the Colgate Competition submitting the best learner artwork from their schools to the national competition and the winning entry will be forwarded to the Global Competition.
The program was held under the theme “Why my bright smile is important”. Learners went home with Colgate toothpaste and toothbrush each. The DCSC support programme was held on 31 May 2025 at Ga-Chuene and Lepotlako village simultaneously.
