Accountability and oversight were at the centre of discussions during the Capricorn District Municipality District Speakers Forum held at the Council Chamber of Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality.The session was led by Speaker Cllr Kholofelo Lehong and brought together Speakers from municipalities across the district to deliberate on governance matters and strengthen municipal councils’ oversight role.
The forum considered the COGHSTA report, action plans on Provincial Council of Speakers’ resolutions and Lekgotla resolutions. Quarterly reports from the Offices of the Speakers of Blouberg, Molemole, Lepelle-Nkumpi, Polokwane Local Municipalities and Capricorn District Municipality were also presented. The forum was held on 12 March 2026.
