The Capricorn District Municipality hosted an Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) public hearing for the 2023/24 Annual Report at CDM Council Chamber on 7 March 2025.The session was led by MPAC Chairperson Cllr. Lisbeth Mothata, while the Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Corporate Services, Cllr. Sammy Selamolela, led the team responding to MPAC questions on behalf of the Executive Mayor, Cllr. Mamedupi Teffo.
The hearing provides a comprehensive report on the municipality’s performance in service delivery and budget implementation for the financial-year 2023/2024. It allows for responses to questions raised by the MPAC regarding municipal decisions and project implementations.
The public hearing was held in terms of Section 44 of the Municipal Systems Act No. 32 of 2000 and led by MPAC Chairperson Cllr Lisbeth Mothata. The hearing was also attended by Lephalale Local Municipality MPAC Chairperson Cllr Makgae.
