Officially opened by Premier Dr. Phophi Ramathuba under the theme “Limpopo Rising – Africa’s New Investment Frontier,” the two-day event brings together government leaders, investors, development finance institutions, business chambers, and state-owned entities to explore growth opportunities across Limpopo.
Led by CDM LED Manager Ms. Ellen Mashakoe, the municipality showcased investment prospects in tourism, agriculture, renewable energy, mining, and infrastructure development. Strategically positioned along the N1 national corridor, Capricorn District serves as the logistical hub of Limpopo, connecting South Africa to the rest of the continent through Polokwane International Airport and modern transport networks.
Programme highlights included panel discussions on energy, agribusiness, and digital infrastructure, investment matchmaking sessions and exhibitions featuring municipalities, SOEs, and private investors.
Through its participation, Capricorn District Municipality continued to drive economic transformation and promote the district as a gateway for investment in Limpopo and Southern Africa. The conference was held from 30 to 31 October 2025.
