CDM EXECUTIVE MAYOR SUPPORTS LIMPOPO GOSPEL EXPERIENCE

The Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Municipality, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, joined hundreds of gospel lovers and artists at the Limpopo Gospel Experience held in Polokwane, celebrating music, faith, and creativity in the province.

The event, which brought together renowned and emerging gospel artists from across Limpopo and beyond, served as a powerful platform to showcase the rich cultural and artistic talent that defines the district and province. In her remarks, Cllr Teffo emphasized that arts and culture remain an essential pillar for community cohesion, youth development, and social transformation.

“As Capricorn District Municipality, we recognise the role of arts and culture in shaping our communities and nurturing hope among our people. Gospel music, in particular, inspires unity, healing, and spiritual growth,” said Cllr Teffo.

She further commended the organisers and artists for keeping the creative spirit of Limpopo alive and encouraged continued collaboration between government, the private sector, and creative industries to build sustainable opportunities for local artists.

The Limpopo Gospel Experience forms part of the district’s broader vision to promote cultural tourism and creative industries as drivers of local economic development under the District Development Model (DDM). The festival was held on 25 October 2025.
