CDM ready for the 2019 race

It’s all systems go for the CDM 4-in-One Marathon that is billed for Saturday, 16 February 2019 at the Polokwane Rugby Fields.

With few days to go before the race, the Municipality urges all interested runners not to wait for the last minute rush to register. Although a provision and final chance will be made for runners to register at the venue on the day of the race, we urge anyone wanting to partake in any of the categories to book their place in the race by registering online at bouttime.co.za.

Entry statistics indicate that there is huge interest in all categories – 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km; and there might long queues at the venue on the day of the race and this might oversubscribe some distances or categories. Executive Mayor John Mpe vowed during the launch to participate in the 10km race. “With this marathon we are building social cohesion and promoting a healthy lifestyle while at the same time runners can prepare for bigger marathons”, he says.

The marathon enables runners to prepare and qualify for Two Oceans and Comrades marathons. Thrace will be hosted in partnership with Polokwane Athletic Club, sponsored by BMW Legacy Polokwane. The marathon will start at 05h00 for all the distances and there is R150 000 worth of prizes for winners.
