CDM STRENGTHENS SKILLS DEVELOPMENT THROUGH LGSETA

Capricorn District Municipality, in partnership with LGSETA and Mahube Training and Development, has launched two skills development projects to train 100 unemployed learners in Water and Wastewater Treatment Process Operations and Water Reticulation.
These LGSETA-funded initiatives promote skills development, youth empowerment, and improved service delivery in local government.
The induction session, held on 16 January 2026 at the CDM Council Chamber, was attended by the Acting Executive Manager: Corporate Services, Acting Manager: Human Resources, Infrastructure Department officials, LGSETA representatives, Mahube Training and Development, the Satellite Manager, and a Senior Process Controller.
The session outlined the infrastructure environment, risk management processes, code of conduct, discipline, and health and safety requirements.
