HOMECOMING CEREMONY OF THATEGO RAMBAU, MISS NATIONAL SOUTH AFRICA (QUEEN)

The Capricorn District Municipality proudly joined the homecoming celebration of Thatego Rambau, recently crowned Miss National South Africa (Queen), an event that also marked her birthday held on 19 July 2025 at Botlokwa under Molemole Local Municipality.
Executive Mayor Mamedupi Tefo, who delivered the keynote address, congratulated Thatego on her outstanding achievement and for bringing the crown back to Capricorn. She highlighted that Thatego’s success is a powerful reminder that even a district often associated with challenges can produce excellence and talent that shines on a national stage.
In her remarks, the Executive Mayor pledged the Municipality’s continued support for Thatego’s modeling career, affirming that she will receive the necessary backing to grow and thrive. As part of this support, the Executive Mayor invited Thatego to grace the Capricorn District Mandela Day event at the Bohlokwa Ponelo Pele Reading Center, where she will serve as an inspiration to young people and children by showing that dreams are achievable.
The Executive Mayor also extended heartfelt appreciation to Thatego’s mother, sister, mentor, and everyone who contributed to her journey, acknowledging the vital role of family and community in her success.
