DEPARTMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES

The Department of Infrastructure Services is committed to achieving key strategic objectives, including:

  • Providing affordable, clean, and potable water to 100% of the population in accordance with RDP standards by 2026.

  • Delivering sanitation services to 100% of the population by 2026.

  • Ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of district water and wastewater schemes to prevent unplanned service interruptions.

  • Achieving 90% compliance of drinking water systems with SANS 241 standards by 2026.

  • Achieving 70% compliance of wastewater treatment effluent with General Effluent Quality standards by 2026.
