“We call on all of you to protect one another against malaria, remember that prevention is better than cure. If we work together we will reduce the number of cases in our areas,” said Cllr Betty Kgare MMC for Community Services at Capriocrn District Municipality (CDM).
Cllr. Kgare was speaking during the commemoration of World Malaria day at Eldorado on 29 April 2021. The exact date for the commemoration of the day was 25 April 2021. The day is celebrated to create and spread awareness about malaria disease and to promote efforts to prevent malaria in our societies.
The theme for the event was “Zero malaria starts with me.” The event was attended by councillors, officials, NGOs and CBOs and members of the community.
