“We know golf to be game of the elite. I challenge you to change the narrative and make the game accessible and understandable. This plays a critical role in the sport economy of the Capricorn District Municipality. We need to see more of this kind of tournaments happening in the district,” said the Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Municipality, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, speaking to golfers as she took her first big shot at the 3rd Annual Kilimanjaro Golf Day held at Polokwane Golf Club in Polokwane.The Mayor was joined by Kgosi Kgabo Moloto III and 120 Golfers from around the country and beyond. The event officially sponsored by Lebowa Funerals is organised by Sariel Nong, an adventure Enthusiasts from Seshego in Limpopo Sarel who climbed mount Everest for the first time in 2018.
Kgoshi Kgabo Moloto III was delighted to be part and appealed to attendees to also join him for the weekend educational fundraising sport activities including the marathon at the Royal House of Moletjie. The event was held on 22 November 2024.
