The Executive Mayor of CDM Cllr. Mamedupi Teffo is part of the runners joining Kgoshi Kgabo Moloto III for the Moletjie Half Marathon, hosted by Moshate Wa Moletjie and Moletjie Athletics Club, at Leokama Village in Moletjie, outside Polokwane.The different races were 5km, 10km and 21,1km. The marathon started at 5:30 am on 23 November 2024. With determination and perseverance, they pushed through the challenging route and crossed the finish line, setting an inspiring example for the community.
The Executive Mayor expressed her gratitude to Moshate wa Moletji for organizing the marathon and providing a platform for people to come together and promote healthy living.
She also extended her gratitude to all the athletes who participated in the event, highlighting their dedication and passion for sports.
This marathon not only showcased the spirit of unity and sportsmanship but also emphasized the importance of staying fit and active. Limpopo MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture Jerry Maseko and Mayor of Maruleng Cllr Tsheko Musolwa were amongst the dignitaries participating in the annual marathon.
Winners in the different categories of the half marathon walked away with prizes such as a bicycle, R10 000. 00, R4 000. 00 and R2 000. 00 and R1 500. 00 cash.
