Capricorn District Municipality proudly shone on the national stage on 02 October 2025 at the Local Government Indaba, held at the prestigious Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. The Municipality was officially recognized for attaining a Clean Audit Outcome for the 2023/2024 financial year, a milestone that reflects its commitment to sound financial management, transparency, and accountability.The event, attended by municipalities from across the country, celebrated excellence in governance and financial prudence. CDM was among the municipalities nationally that were honoured for achieving a Clean Audit, a recognition that positions the institution as a benchmark for good governance and effective service delivery.
The Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo expressed pride in the recognition and reaffirmed commitment to strengthening public service delivery. “This accolade demonstrates that our systems of financial accountability and governance are working. More importantly, it reassures our communities that the district is using resources responsibly to improve their lives,” said the Executive Mayor.
The Clean Audit recognition is not only a validation of CDM’s internal controls and governance practices, but also a motivating milestone as the Municipality continues to accelerate service delivery and development across its communities. The recognition was presented on 03 October 2025.
