On 07 April 2025, the Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo led a delegation that visited Kgoshi Ledwaba at Ga-Ledwaba Moshate in the Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality where the traditional council requested a meeting with Executive Mayor, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, to discuss issues relating to the Stocks Regional Water Supply Project.The Executive Mayor emphasized the importance of ongoing stakeholder engagement in working towards the shared goal of bringing services closer to the people.
“We appreciate the initiative taken by the traditional authority to engage the municipality on the issues related to this project,” said Executive Mayor Teffo.
She further provided insight into the structure of the multi-year project, explaining how multiple contractors are involved and outlining the financial implications in line with the allocated budget. She reassured all present that the project is progressing according to plan.
Kgoshi Ledwaba expressed his gratitude for the Mayor’s detailed explanation and reaffirmed the traditional leadership’s support: “Our interest is to see the project completed and the community receiving water as promised.”
