The Limpopo Provincial Government held a provincial social crime summit within the Capricorn District at The Ranch hotel, outside Polokwane on 09 December 2024 . The summit brought together a variety of government officials, stakeholders, and law enforcement to address the issue of crime in the province.
The provincial social crime summit will take place between December 9 and 10, 2024, under the theme: “30 YEARS Of ADVANCING COLLECTIVE ACTION To END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND CHILDREN.” The theme focuses on prevention and economic empowerment to foster financial independence and resilience.
Presentations were made focusing on topics such as the overview of crime in the province, how GBVF is using social and behavior change, and the community engagement strategy in Limpopo province.
The summit is supported by the Department of Social Development and SAPS.
