On 03 December 2025, Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo joined the Deputy Minister for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation in The Presidency, Mr Sejake Mohai, for a monitoring and oversight visit to the Limpopo Central Academic Hospital in Polokwane.She was accompanied by Cllr Puleng Mashangoane, Member of the Mayoral Committee responsible for Local Economic Development, Land Use and Spatial Planning, as well as Ward 20 Councillor, Cllr Phaka Murwa for Polokwane Municipality.
The leadership received a detailed progress briefing on the academic hospital project, highlighting key milestones and current challenges, before proceeding to a site walkthrough. The Limpopo Central Academic Hospital is projected to be completed in 2028.
