Municipal Public Accounts Committee remains committed to conducting oversight work on projects implemented by the municipality.
On 02 March 2022, Capricorn District Municipality MPAC committee led by Chairperson Cllr Lisbeth Mothata visited Sephala Mokopu Makwetja and Thoka Water Supply project in Mokomene, Molemole Municipality. The committee’s visit was a follow up on the previous one that took place end of January 2022.
Although the community has been able to get water from the three phased project, there were few outstanding issues that the contractor had to attend to which MPAC wanted to make follow up on.
“Ultimately as a committee, we want to see value for our money and have communities drinking safe water. We believe when come again all outstanding snags will be completed”, said MPAC Chairperson Cllr Lisbeth Mothata.
