Capricorn District Municipality hosted a Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) public participation on the 2020/21 Draft Annual Report. The session was held at Bolivia Lodge in Polokwane on 01 March 2022.
The aim of the annual report was to provide a record of the activities of the municipality for the 2020/21 financial year, provide a report on performance against the budget of the municipality, promote accountability to the local communities for decisions made throughout the year by the municipality. MPAC is one of the municipality’s committees that exercise oversight over the executive functionaries of council and to ensure good governance.
Cllr. Matome Masoga. Member of Mayoral Committee for Development Planning and Environmental Management Services presented the 2020/21 Draft Annual Report to the public. Inputs and comments were made by the public regarding the presentation.
