On o4 March 2022, the Municipal Public Accounts Committee was conducting a Public Hearing on the 2021/2022 Mid-year Performance Report. The session chaired by MPAC Chairperson Cllr Lisbeth Mothata, provided an opportunity for executive management to respond to issues raised by the committee on the overall organisational mid-year performance report.
The committee raised matters on non achievement of certain targets, status on expenditure of projects, reasons that led to non performance and corrective measures. “The council recess affected some of the targets that we have planned to achieve by mid year such as council Imbizo and other council committee meetings. We believe we can still achieve the targets in the quarters of the financial year”, said the Executive Managers responding to issues raised.
They added that, they will also correct the errors that were highlighted by the committee to ensure that the institution strive towards achieving the targets as planned.
