On 14 August 2026, Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo joined Minister of Social Development, Ms Dina Pule, at Ga-Molepo Moshate for the launch of the Ministerial Integrated Community Registration Outreach Programme (ICROP).
The programme brought government closer to communities by creating a platform where residents could access a range of essential services and receive assistance without having to travel long distances to government offices.
As part of the programme, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to Kgoshi Makgape Stephen Molepo and his Traditional Council for a meet-and-greet briefing. The engagement reaffirmed the importance of collaboration between government and Traditional Leadership in ensuring that government services reach communities effectively and respond to their needs.
The delegation later proceeded to Sehlale Happy Fighters Sports Ground in Mamatsha Village, where the official ICROP programme was held. Community members had the opportunity to engage directly with government departments and entities and access various services and support.
During a walkabout of the exhibition stalls, Executive Mayor Cllr Teffo also engaged with members of the media while visiting service points where departments and entities were assisting community members.
The exhibition brought together key service providers, including Home Affairs, SASSA, SAPS and other government departments and entities, making it easier for residents to access essential services in one place.
The ICROP initiative demonstrated government’s continued commitment to taking services directly to communities, improving accessibility and ensuring that no one is left behind.
