Khumalo joined the municipality in June 2025. She holds, among other qualifications, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Stellenbosch University.
Before joining the CDM family, Khumalo was self-employed and had previously served in various capacities within local government, including at Polokwane Municipality, Waterberg District Municipality, and Fetakgomo Municipality.
“It is a happy moment for me to be a member of the home of excellence team. My contribution will be meaningful, and I will strive to positively impact the Capricorn District Municipality team in discharging its mandate, to provide basic services and grow the local economy using the good governance framework, true to the spirit of its motto ‘Re šoma le setšhaba’,” said Khumalo. The appointment mark a continued commitment by Capricorn District Municipality to service excellence, good governance, and responsive leadership in serving the communities of the district.
Khumalo was formally introduced to the SEMS Departmental Staff members by the Municipal Manager of Capricorn District Municipality, Ramakuntwane Selepe on 05 June 2025 at CDM Council Chamber in Polokwane.
The SEMS staff warmly received Khumalo, expressing visible joy and enthusiasm as they welcomed their new Executive Manager. The introduction marks a positive step forward for the department as it continues its commitment to service and development.
In her remarks, Khumalo shared that she is looking forward to working with the SEMS team and expressed hope that staff will give their best for the benefit of the district’s communities.
The Municipal Manager said that her experience and vision will be invaluable as the municipality continue to drive forward its mission and enhance the effectiveness of its executive management functions. He further said that they are confident that her contributions will make a meaningful impact, and are eager to support her success.
