FOOD SAFETY CAMPAIGN IN SESHEGO

Capricorn District Municipality Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo and a team of the Municipal Health Practitioners continued with the Food Safety Campaign in Seshego, Polokwane Municipality.
The campaign focused on inspecting compliance by tuckshops/ spaza shops, food and other items sold, expired food and any other thing considered hazardous to the food environment. A total of seven tuckshops were inspected, of which only two shops were found at least complying. Expired, damaged, rotten meat and other contaminated food items were confiscated.
The campaign was conducted in partnership with South African Police Service Seshego Police Station. The campaign took place on 26 November 2024.
