The Executive Mayor, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo expressed her gratitude towards Magesi Football Club for their remarkable performance and victory against Sundowns in a thrilling Carling Black Label Cup held on 23 November 2024 at Bloemfontein Stadium, in the Free State Province. During the special gala dinner organized by the Limpopo Provincial government at Meropa Casino, the Executive Mayor publicly acknowledged the team’s hard work and dedication that led to their 2-1 win.“The day had certainly arrived for Moletji as we kicked off the marathon in the village. Along with that, there were also soccer tournaments held in the village, but it was Magesi FC that truly added to the festive atmosphere in the province”. She praised them for not only representing their club and province with pride, but also for bringing joy and inspiration to the community.
The Executive Mayor emphasized that the team’s success serves as a reminder of the talent and potential that exists within Limpopo, and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence. In her final words, she thanked Magesi FC for making the province proud and wished them continued success in their future endeavors. The event took place on 26 November 2024.
