The Executive Mayor Cllr. Mamedupi Teffo visited Mehlareng Village, Lepelle-Nkumpi Municipality for the grand opening of Mehlareng Mall. The eagerly anticipated Mall opened its doors on 27 November 2024, after being constructed over seven months.The mall is worth 200 million with several shops already opened and others will open later on. These include a Clinic which will be coming on 06 December 2024. The much needed development will cater for 8 nearby villages. Mehlareng Mall is in a prime location with easy accessibility. Around 400 people are expected to be employed.
As she gave the keynote address Executive Mayor appreciated investors for considering Mehlareng for economic development. She further applauded the private sector for continuing to help the government to fight unemployment. She requested the community to protect and support the Mall. Representatives from Moshate wa Ga Seloane, Moshate wa Ga Kekana and Councillors were present.
