Gift of the Givers presented 500 food parcels to the flood victims in the Capricorn District Municipality. The district, through local municipalities, arranged for the victims to physically collect the parcels from Gift of the Givers team and also deliver in other areas afar.The food parcels were distributed per local municipality with Molemole -20, Blouberg – 130, Lepelle-Nkumpi – 250, Polokwane – 100. This follows an assessment done after reported disasters on homes destroyed due to heavy rains and thunderstorms that happened late October and November.
The disasters happened in various villages across the district. Distribution of the food parcels was done together with the ward councillors and disaster management officers.
