MMC Calvin Masoga, who is responsible for Local Economic Development at Capricorn District Municipality, was attending the Sapayopa bikers gala dinner at Meropa Casino.He was representing the Executive Mayor at this event, which is organized by Sapayopa, a charity organization of bikers that draws in other bikers from Southern African Development Countries (SADC)
The annual bikers gathering was held in Polokwane Meropa Casino, and Masoga delivered a message of support to their charity work. As an advocate for economic development in the local community, Masoga recognized the importance of organization like Sapayopa, who use their passion for biking to make a positive impact on society.
Through their efforts, they not only bring together bikers from different countries but also raise awareness and funds for various charitable causes such as drugs rehabilitation, young artist identification, etc.
MMC Masoga’s presence at this event highlights the government’s commitment to supporting and collaborating with community-driven initiatives that aim to promote economic development and social welfare.
The event is also attended by MEC for Sports, Arts and Culture, Honourable Jerry Maseko who also emphasized the support that his department is going to give to this organization. The gala dinner took place on 28 November 2024.
