EXECUTIVE MAYOR TO CONSULT BUSINESS ON IDP

The Executive Mayor, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo engaged in a crucial consultation with business leaders and representatives from institutions of higher learning at Landmark Lodge in Polokwane on 10 April 2025.
The meeting held significant importance as it aimed to align the upcoming budget of the municipality with key economic priorities. This marks a pivotal effort by the Executive Mayor to ensure that the budget reflects the needs and goals of the business, community, and key stakeholders with a focus on promoting economic growth and supporting SMMEs.
During the IDP consultative meeting, the Executive Mayor presented the draft 2025/2026 Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget to members of the business fraternity and institutions of higher learning. The presentation highlighted various key areas such as infrastructural programs, local economic development, community services, and communication programs. This provided an opportunity for businesspeople to engage with the Executive Mayor and share their proposals on how to boost local businesses, Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs), tourism, and agriculture in the district.
The interactive session allowed for meaningful discussions and collaborations between the government and private sector, paving the way for potential partnerships that can contribute to the growth and development of the district. Overall, the presentation showcased a strong focus on engaging with stakeholders in order to create a conducive environment for sustainable economic growth and development in the district.
