On 10 April 2025, Capricorn District Municipality Special Focus team led the District Gender Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) Committee Rapid Response Team workshop held at CDM Council Chamber in Polokwane.The workshop facilitated by Manager Special Focus Regina Sebola was targeting government departments, local municipalities and civil society groups aiming at establishing the Rapid Response Team on GBVF.
The RRT will respond to all GBVF related incidences within the district in line with the National Strategic Plan (NSP) on Gender Based Violence (GBV). The workshop included commission-led deliberations and presentations on NSP on GBV, End GBV 100 Days Challenge, Rapid Response Team roles and responsibilities, and Department of Social Development GBVF Service Package.
