The Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo joined the Deputy Minister of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation Mme Thandi Moraka’s Engagement with Women in Business on 24 August 2024 at The Park Inn Hotel in Polokwane. The program was held in partnership with Limpopo United Business Forum.
Speaking to women in business under the theme, “Accelerating Women’s Equality Through Economic Diplomacy”, Moraka said, “with seventeen embassies attending the event, this is the beginning of many more engagement platforms to come with an aim to open doors for business opportunities beyond bounders.”
The outgoing President of LUBF Ms Tshepo Mathabatha, talking to a packed hall of women at the Park Inn Hotel in Polokwane, said “people are our biggest resources. The message we are bringing to women is simple, let’s not compete but collaborate. That’s how we build relationships. We come to the table with something to offer not empty handed.”
“Thank you for believing in Limpopo and it’s people, we are the gold of this province, lifted we are, support and friendship is what we need from you, our excellencies. This is a calling, I will continue to give myself to the call whether I’m in office or not. Let’s continue to work together,” emphasized Mathabatha.
She thanked the political leadership and the collective of women who champions the interest of women in the province and beyond.
