EXECUTIVE MAYOR HANDS OVER WATER PROJECT TO COMMUNITY OF MOGWADI

Capricorn District Municipality has handed over a bulk water supply project worth R26,2m at Mogwadi in Molemole Local Municipality. The project is aimed at augmenting existing water supply with the identified (boreholes) groundwater from the neighbouring farm.
Six boreholes have been drilled in the area and four have been found to be able to produce water and were equiped. There was also a construction of a 160mm diameter pipeline which streches for 2.7km class 12upvc pipe. The pipe connects the boreholes to the raw storage facility. The project will benefit over 1000 households in the area.
The Executive Mayor of CDM Cllr. Mamedupi Teffo called on the community to look after municipal infrastructure and to guard it against vandalism and theft. Moloko Makgalefa of Mogwadi extension 4, who is one of the beneficiaries thanked the municipality for the work done. Makgalefa said that the community around the area haven’t had water for more than twelve years.
