DISASTER MANAGEMENT ADVISORY FORUM RE-LAUNCHED

CDM District Disaster Management Advisory Forum today had its first sitting after its re-establishment following the inauguration of the new council, after the local government elections in 2021.

“As we re-establish this forum our first action should be to call on all parties to join hands and carry out this forum’s mandate. We have no doubt that this forum will have its hands full in promoting awareness and integrate resources to reduce disaster risks and losses ” said Cllr. Solly Mahlatji, during the meeting.

The forum comprises of representatives from local municipalities and other external stakeholders.
