Executive Mayor completes her staff engagements sessions

“Our employees at satellite offices are absorbers of all service delivery challenges in communities. We need to ensure there is continuous support and skills development in order for them to provide the best services to our communities,” said Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo at Sefako Makgatho Fire Station.
Executive Mayor completed her staff engagement consultatative meetings with fire services, water services and Municipal Health staff on 13 October 2021 at Sefako Makgatho Fire Station and CDM Water Laboratory respectively. She is accompanied by MMC for Community Services cllr Kgare and MMC for planning Cllr Selamolela.
Cllr Teffo added that “Capricorn District Municipality is a Water Service Authority, so water service provision to us, is a priority, we don’t have an excuse. Water is life”.
Some of the issues raised by employees included the need to review the organisational structure, finalise job evaluation, provide protective clothing, ensure the filling of vacant positions with young people and implement transfer of skills in the water department between aging staff and the young ones.
