EXECUTIVE MAYOR AND MEC ASSESS FLOOD DAMAGES IN MAFEFE

On 20 January 2026, the Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo together with the MEC for The Limpopo Provincial Treasury Kgabo Mahoai, conducted an on-site assessment of damage caused by ongoing heavy rains in Mafefe.
The severe rainfall has left several villages isolated, affecting communities and preventing learners from attending school due to inaccessible roads.
The visit began at Mafefe Moshate with a briefing. Kgoshi Mafeefee II took the opportunity to highlight the damage and disruption it causes for his communities.
This was followed by site visits to Ga-Mampa and Ga-Moila to assess the damage and possible interventions.
