EXECUTIVE MAYOR CONGRATULATES TOP LEARNERS AT NARE SECONDARY SCHOOL

On 21 January 2026, the Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Municipality, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, has congratulated the Matric Class of 2025 at Nare Secondary School, with special recognition to top learner Tebogo Mothiba, who achieved an outstanding Level 7 in all his subjects.
Encouraging fellow learners, Mothiba said:
“Work hard, stay focused and dedicated. Where you lack, reach out to others for help, whether learners or educators. These awards motivated me to remain committed. I wanted to see myself receiving an award too.”
He expressed gratitude to the Executive Mayor, educators, parents, fellow learners, and all stakeholders supporting the programme.
The Top 20 learners were each awarded HP laptops, while the Top 5 learners received additional cash prizes:🥇 R10 000 | 🥈 R5 000 | 🥉 R3 000 | 4️⃣ & 5️⃣ R2 500 each.
Over the past five years (2021–2025), Nare Secondary School has shown remarkable academic improvement, achieving: 2021: 84.6%, 2022: 80.3%, 2023: 89.8%, 2024: 94.4% and 2025: 99.1%.
The school also recorded 69.2% Bachelor passes, with 14 subjects offered, 9 subjects achieving 100% pass rate, and Mathematics at 82.9%. Two learners obtained Level 7 in all seven subjects.
School Principal Ms Mokgadi Rangata thanked the Executive Mayor, Circuit Manager, traditional leadership, School Governing Body, educators, and parents for their unwavering support.
Nare Secondary School also proudly achieved Position 2 at the Polokwane Municipality Matric Awards held on 16 January 2026 at Jack Botes Hall in Polokwane.
