CDM School Safetyu Campaign conduct an unannounced visit at Thokampe Secodary

“Learners are violent, bully not just to educators but amongst themselves as well. This exercise will let them know that you sometimes come to search them it will help us deal with these unwanted things that they bring to school,” said Mumsy Mthiyane. Mthiyane is one of the educators at Thokampe Secondary School at Taaibosch.
Today CDM, Blouberg Municipality, South African Police Service, Community Policing Forum, Youth in Community Policing and Community Safety Forum, made an unannounced visit to Thokampe Secondary School at Taaibosch in Blouberg Municipality as part of CDM School Safety Campaign.
The purpose of this is to search learners and confiscate items that are unwanted at school such as, drugs, intoxicating substances, arms, cellular phones etc. The campaign started last week and will still be conducted at the other local municipalities in the next two weeks.
At the school the team found a numbet of cellphones, hats etc. No dangerous items were found at the school.
