Capricorn District Municipality has officially launched the audit steering committee on 18 August 2022 at the CDM Mayor’s Boardroom in Polokwane. The purpose of the committee is to assess and monitor the audit process of the previous financial year that ended in June 2022 and also the current financial year 2022/2023.The committee is chaired by the Executive Mayor, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo supported by MMC for Finance, Cllr Maria Ramokolo and MPAC Chairperson Cllr Lisbeth Mothata. Office of the Auditor General will automatically form part of this committee.
CDM is currently finilising the Annual Financial Statement and Annual Performance Reports that is aimed at reclaiming a clean audit. The steering committee will assist in making sure the audit process runs smoothly.
