CDM hosts Limpopo Provincial Command Council to do assessment of the lockdown

The Provincial Command Council Chaired by the Premier, and attended by all Members of the Executive Council, District Executive Mayors and invited Heads of Department met on 01 April 2020 at CDM Council chamber to assess the environment with regard to COVID-19 and the Lockdown as declared by the President as of 26 March 2020.

For the past few days, Members of the Executive Council accompanied by District Executive Mayors and Mayors were deployed across the province to have a firsthand experience and to especially assist the elderly during the pension payout that ensued since Monday.

Reports were given by all MECs and District Mayors. In the coming days the leadership will continue to monitor the lockdown. The Premier emphasized that we should comply with regulations of SAPS and SANDF. “For us to win this virus, we need to work together.
“I urge all members of the community not to test the authority, relax and comply and ensure you stay at home” Mathabatha said
