CDM host District Aids Day at Ga-Kibi

Hiv/Aids is one of the pandemics that has wrecked havoc within communities in South Africa. The pandemic has left many households headed by children.
“When we work together we can stop the spread of Hiv/Aids. The Hiv/Aids death rate is decreasing because of stakeholders that are here today educating and spreading the message about the disease”. These are words echoed by the Executive Mayor of CDM Cllr. Mamedupi Teffo.
Cllr Teffo was addressing the community at the comemoration of the district World Aids Day, held at Mokgweng Sports Ground at Ga-Kibi in Blouberg Municipality today.
The Provincial Chairperson of the house of Traditional Leaders Kgoshi Solly Dikgale called on the community to follow the messages and advices given here today.
During the event speakers also shared information about issues such as gender based violence, diabetes, hypertension, prostate cancer and covid-19.
The event was graced by traditional leaders and councillors in the district.
