CDM takes services to farms in Tolwe

“Thank you for coming here to make a difference, your presence means a lot to us. We appreciate the effort that you made to bring this important services to our farming community,” said Wilnick the manager of Wilnick Farm at the District Batho Pele day at Tolwe in Blouberg Local Municipality.
Capricorn District Municipality as part of celebrating Batho Pele day organised a vaccination drive at the farm in partnership with the Department of Health. “We are here to make sure you all get vaccinated and to answer any other health related questions”, said Sister Mothapo.
People were able to apply for passports and Identity Documents from the Department of Home Affairs, social services issues were handled by Social Worker Boloko from Department of Social Development, South African Police Service dealt with affidavits, case reporting, certifying documents and any other police related queries, and Limpopo Economic Development, Environment and Tourism were handing over information on citizens reports, environment and bursaries.
“We have a legislative mandate through the White Paper on Transforming Public Service Delivery – Batho Pele White Paper to bring government services closer to the people. Today we are here as CDM to fulfill that mandate and ensure that we reach every corner of the district”, said MMC for SEMS Cllr Solomon Mahlatji leading the program together with MMC for Sport, Arts and Culture Cllr Makgaleleme Makhura.
