CDM embarks on COVID19 awareness drive

IN the wake of return of learners to schools for 2021 school year, Capricorn District Municipality, from 16 to 21 February 2021, conducted Covid-19 awareness campaign at taxi ranks across the District to remind everyone to continue taking precautions and combat the spread of the coronavirus to schools.

The campaign started on Monday 16 February 2021 at Mankweng taxi rank in the University of Limpopo’s precinct and was led by Executive Mayor Cllr John Mpe. Commuters, pedestrians and shoppers were given leaflets about the Covid-19 safety protocols as well as bottles of sanitizers and hand wash soaps.

Mpe told locals not to drop their guard against the coronavirus in order to circumvent the possibility of a third wave.

The campaign continued on Wednesday, 17 February at Lebowakgomo Zone F, followed by Bochum Senwabarwana on Thursday 18th and Botlokwa on Monday 22nd February 2021.
